Celebration Of Zero Waste Month 2025

Zero Waste Month 2025 - Eramen Minerals Inc.

By Camilla Bañares | On April 5, 2025, Eramen Minerals Incorporated (EMI) celebrated its Zero Waste Month, organized by the Mine Environmental Protection and Enhancement Department (MEPED). This event was part of the company’s ongoing effort to promote environmental care and responsible mining practices. The theme of the celebration was “Zero Waste Program,” highlighting the importance of reducing waste.

The event aimed to raise awareness about proper waste management, both within the company and in local communities. It featured a variety of fun and educational activities focused on the ideas of reducing, reusing, and recycling.

One of the main attractions was an informative campaign about solid waste management. This campaign helped participants understand how improper waste disposal affects the environment and why living a zero-waste lifestyle is important.

There was also a hands-on demonstration showing how to properly separate and dispose of different types of waste. EMI staff actively participated, teaching everyone the right ways to categorize and handle waste materials. This practical session was designed to encourage everyone to take responsibility for their waste at home and work.

Overall, MEPED hopes this celebration will inspire people to change their habits and adopt more sustainable practices, contributing to long-term environmental protection. The event not only aligned with national environmental events but also reinforced EMI’s commitment to being environmentally responsible in all its operations.

The success of Zero Waste Month serves as a reminder of how working together and sharing responsibility can help create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future for everyone.
