By Jeric Meer | As part of our Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) program, Eramen Minerals, Inc. was honored to welcome the Mining Engineering students of Saint Louis University for an immersive mine visit, in support of the SLU Mining Engineering Society’s MINAhusay Company Fieldwork Program.
This meaningful engagement offered students a hands-on opportunity to explore the nickel mining process — guided by our experienced professionals, they deepened their understanding of responsible mining, strict safety protocols, and sustainable practices.

This initiative is aligned with DENR Administrative Order (DAO) No. 2025-10, titled “Guidelines on the Integration of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in the Formulation and Implementation of the Social Development and Management Program,” specifically promoting SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by empowering the next generation of mining professionals through real-world learning and skill-building.
A heartfelt thank you to SLU for your trust, curiosity, and passion for green advocacy. We’re proud to be part of your journey toward a more sustainable future!
