By Maenard M. Arga | Through its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), Eramen Minerals Inc. (EMI) implemented the Provision of Medicines project benefiting 16 barangay health centers in Sta. Cruz, with a total investment of Php 405,159.21. The project was designed to strengthen local healthcare delivery by equipping frontline facilities with essential medicines.

The turnover of medicines directly to barangay health centers enhanced their operational capacity to provide immediate and effective medical assistance to residents. This ensured a more efficient and organized distribution of medicines, improving access for patients and supporting timely treatment of common illnesses.

Furthermore, the initiative contributes to increased awareness of proper healthcare practices as health centers serve as vital channels for health education and community engagement. By reinforcing these facilities, EMI supports both preventive and responsive healthcare measures at the grassroots level. It reflects EMI’s enduring commitment to community-centered development through the SDMP. 

By strengthening local health centers, it not only improves access to medicines but also builds a more responsive, capable, and sustainable healthcare system for the people of Sta. Cruz.
