By Jeric Meer | Eramen Mining Inc. (EMI) has taken another meaningful step toward community development by supporting the Women’s Association in Lomboy with the provision of sewing machines. With an investment of Php 38,000.00, the initiative focused on empowering women through skill enhancement and entrepreneurship, creating opportunities for financial independence and small business growth within the barangay.

By equipping the association with sewing machines, EMI not only supported the development of individual skills but also laid the groundwork for income-generating activities. This initiative enabled women in the community to start or expand small-scale sewing businesses, contributing to household income and promoting economic resilience. The project emphasized the value of self-reliance, craftsmanship, and community-based entrepreneurship.

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality, the project highlights EMI’s commitment to supporting women through targeted livelihood programs. By investing in the tools and training that enhance both confidence and capability, EMI helped foster a more inclusive and sustainable economic environment, empowering women to play an active role in the development of their community.
