By John Mark Mistica | As part of its continued commitment to workplace safety and emergency preparedness, Eramen Minerals Inc. (EMI), in coordination with the , successfully conducted a Fire Safety Lecture and Fire Drill on April 13, 2026, for its employees.
The activity was facilitated by the BFP under the leadership of FSSUPT Santos C. Gawongna, DSC, Acting Regional Director of BFP Region III, under the supervision of FSSUPT Jeannette D. Jusayan, DSC, Provincial Fire Marshal of Zambales, and with the guidance of SFO4 Reynan R. Nañasca, Officer-in-Charge, Municipal Fire Marshal.

The Fire Safety Lecture provided employees with essential knowledge on fire prevention, hazard identification, and the proper use of fire safety equipment, reinforcing awareness and proactive safety practices within the workplace. This was followed by a Fire Drill, where employees actively participated in a simulated emergency scenario, allowing them to practice evacuation procedures, coordination, and appropriate response actions.
Through this initiative, EMI strengthens its safety culture by equipping employees with essential skills to respond to fire emergencies, reinforcing its commitment to a safe and prepared workplace.
