By Erica Manalo | In partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) Sta. Cruz District, Eramen Minerals, Inc. (EMI) conducted an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign for STEM students of Lipay National High School on March 11, 2026.
The activity aimed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of mining, including its processes, significance, and impacts on the environment and host communities. It further sought to enhance students’ awareness of responsible mining practices and to encourage interest in STEM-related career pathways.
The IEC campaign was facilitated by the Community Relations Office, with technical support from the Mine Engineering and Geology Department, the Safety and Health Office, and the Mine Environmental Protection and Enhancement Office, ensuring that the discussions were comprehensive and aligned with industry standards and best practices.

Eramen Minerals, Incorporated sincerely acknowledge the invaluable support of Lipay National High School, led by Dr. Loida M. Medrano, Principal IV, for fostering collaboration and actively engaging in initiatives that benefit both students and the broader community.
Through sustained collaboration with educational institutions, EMI continues to invest in meaningful learning engagements that promote environmental stewardship, safety awareness, and community responsibility among the next generation.
