By Spencer Manila | Continuing its commitment to inclusive and community-centered development, Eramen Minerals, Inc., through its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), turned over specialized chairs for senior citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Barangay Tubo-Tubo North on March 24, 2025.
This effort addresses the mobility, comfort, and support needs of elderly and differently-abled residents—individuals who often face significant barriers to daily living. The provision of these chairs reflects the company’s ongoing dedication to improving the quality of life for vulnerable groups in its host and neighboring communities.
The turnover in Tubo-Tubo North is one of many under this initiative. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, Eramen had extended direct support to senior citizens and PWDs in 17 barangays, positively impacting 398 individuals. This includes the distribution of assistive equipment, mobility aids, and wellness-oriented resources aimed at enhancing independence and restoring dignity for beneficiaries.
Implemented under the SDMP, the project underscores Eramen Minerals, Inc.’s broader mission to invest in sustainable, equitable development. Far beyond compliance, this initiative exemplifies how corporate social responsibility can be harnessed to empower the marginalized and promote social inclusion.
